In 1979, Viola Barrios bet everything on a last hope for her family - a restaurant named Los Barrios. She made it a San Antonio tradition through her love for family, hard work, and a passion for the best Casero-style Mexican food. We then opened up La Hacienda de Los Barrios in 2004 and Viola’s Ventanas in 2013 to continue serving up home-style cooking with an abundance of amor, fe, y alegria para vivar!

Some things you just have to see (or taste!) to believe, and our award-winning food is one of them. These standout dishes define our cooking as a Mexican restaurant, from our signature dishes like El Mofofo, the combination of beef and pork steeped in our special marinade, grilled and served over flames; to the chicken-fried steak, Milanesa con Papas; and the enchilada collection, the Classic Enchilada Assortment. We also have many Vegetarian options for everyone to enjoy.
